Under the global theme #AccelerateAction, this year’s breakfast will bring together community leaders, advocates, and change-makers to highlight the essential role of women to advocate a more inclusive society and to empower women. The breakfast will feature an inspiring keynote address from Guest Speaker and Author Gwen Lamont as she tells uplifting Stories from the Road to honour women's experiences and ignite bold action toward gender equity.
“The Annual International Women’s Day Breakfast is a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of women in our community. It’s a celebration of our achievements and a call to action for continued progress” said Heather Sheldrick, Executive Director at The Women’s Centre Grey Bruce. "International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It’s a day to honour the progress we’ve made and to recognize the work that still needs to be done to achieve gender equality."
TWC invites the community to this special gathering to honour trailblazers, raise awareness of critical issues, and unite in the mission to accelerate progress toward gender equality.

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
