During the week of January 13-20, 2022, the West Grey Police Service responded to 68 total calls for service.
January 17/18, 2022 — Criminal Harassment — On Monday January 17, 2022 West Grey Police were called to a Bentinck Township address in relation to a Criminal Harassment complaint. Officers attended, located and arrested the suspect. The suspect was processed and released. Within 24 hours the suspect reoffended and was again arrested.

The suspect was held in custody for a Bail Hearing, but was later released by the Ontario Court of Justice on further conditions and a monetary surety.
Update – Sexual Assault Investigation
On January 3, 2022, West Grey Police executed a Search Warrant and seized electronic items as evidence in an ongoing investigation. Based upon information obtained during the search warrant a 22-year old male from Toronto has been further charged with:

West Grey Police — Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate a number of trailer thefts that are plaguing Grey / Bruce / Wellington Counties. Police are reminding residents to ensure their trailers are secure and to call police if you see suspicious persons or vehicles in your area… “If you see something — Say something”.
