On September 18, 2024 a passerby observed a vehicle in the ditch on Concession 2 SDR and advised police dispatch that the 33-year-old female driver appeared to be consuming an alcoholic beverage. West Grey officers responded and arrested the driver at the scene. She was transported to the West Grey Police Service where breath tests were conducted. The female was charged with Operation while Impaired and released on an undertaking to appear in court in October. Her vehicle was impounded.
On September 20, 2024, West Grey Police were advised of an assault against a 33-year-old female from Durham. The suspect, her ex-husband was arrested, charged with assault and released on conditions. He will appear in court in October.
