During the week of March 3 - 10, 2022, the West Grey Police Service responded to 77 total calls for service.
Warrants – March 6, 2022 - West Grey Police observed a known wanted person at an address in Normanby Twp. The 34-year old male was arrested on Warrants held by West Grey Police and Hanover Police Service. A stolen vehicle was also recovered at the address with that matter still under investigation.
Warrants – March 7, 2022 – A 20-year old male of West Grey turned himself in on an outstanding Arrest Warrant for failing to attend court. The male was transported to and turned over to South Bruce OPP without incident.
Criminal Harassment – March 8, 2022 - West Grey Police initiated a Criminal Harassment investigation. As a result one person was arrested and charged under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Bail Violation – March 8, 2022 - West Grey Police Service were called to a Bentinck Twp address in response to a Bail Violation. Investigation revealed that a 45-year old male of Hanover had violated the conditions of a previous release order. An Arrest Warrant has been sought. Once the suspect is arrested, he will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Walkerton.
Domestic Assault – March 9, 2022 – West Grey Police responded to a Domestic Disturbance at a Glenelg Twp address. Investigation revealed that the victim had been physically assaulted by his estranged spouse. A 38-year old female of Shelburne, Ontario has been arrested and charged with:
The accused was processed and later released. She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Walkerton
