December 7, 2024, West Grey officers responded to a reported assault in the former Glenelg township in West Grey. As a result of investigation both parties involved were arrested, one for breaching terms of an undertaking previously entered into and one for multiple assault related charges. The first individual was released from custody with further conditions and a future court date and the second was held for bail and remains in custody at press time.
December 4, 2024, West Grey officers responded to a residence in Durham for a party in crisis. A 45 yr-old male was apprehended under the Mental Health Act. An investigation into previously unreported offences by the individual led to a warrant being sought for his arrest on charges of assault and uttering threats.
December 10, 2024, West Grey officers arrested a 38 year-old male on an outstanding warrant for 3 counts of break and enter and one count of theft. He was further charged with possession of stolen property and resist arrest. He was released after a bail hearing and must abide by conditions including a curfew. Court date set to January 2025.
