BY SOUTHGREY.CA STAFF — Certainly, one of the most disturbing stories of the year places itself in the number six position in our countdown. Now, more than four months after a brutal assault which resulted in the death of the beloved owner of The Curry House on 2nd Avenue in downtown Owen Sound, the culprits remain on the lose.

Despite security images released by police, two suspects shown in the blurry photos have not been identified and the OPP continue to appeal to the public for help with the case. As reported by Christian D'Avino of CTVNews, investigators are no closer to finding the assailants than they were at the time of the offence.

"I believe there were more people around that have just not come forward," said Grey Bruce OPP Const. Krista Linthorne. "Police are asking for anyone with any sort of tip to please come forward. The smallest tip could be the missing piece of the puzzle that investigators need."

A tragedy that has hit the community of Owen Sound hard, Mayor Ian Boddy described Sharif as an exceptional member of the community, as well being a successful entrepreneur and a devoted family man.
