On Saturday, March 27, 2021, at about 2:00 am, members of the Hanover Police Service responded to the report of a single motor vehicle crash on 14th Street west of 13th Avenue, in the Town of Hanover.

Police, fire and ambulance arrived on scene within minutes to find a blue Dodge Neon lying on its driver’s side against a fence bordering Exceldor Foods. The Neon had been eastbound on 14th Street when it lost control, left the roadway, and rolled several of times ejecting two of its four occupants.

The driver, a 21-year-old Hanover man, and three male passengers raging in age from 19 to 21 years of age from Chesley and Elmwood, all sustained injuries and were transported by ambulance to the Hanover District Hospital. Two of the passengers have since been transferred to a London hospital, both in serious condition.

Speed is a definite factor in this crash. The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information or security video along 14th Street from 7th to 13th Avenue is asked to contact Hanover Police investigators at 519.364.4280 ext. #101, or Crimestoppers at 1.800.222.TIPS.
