SPONSORED CONTENT — Meet Troy. This handsome floppy-eared male Shepherd Cross is a big teddy bear. He's approximately 4-years-old and full of energy but does have some separation anxiety. He has been neutered and is up-to-date on vaccinations. Troy has unfortunately been in three different homes and two different shelters in his short life. Most of the changes have been related to home situations changing... not necessarily anything Troy did wrong. He is loving once he gets to know you but a little nervous at first. Large dog and/or breed experience is recommended for Troy. He is not recommended for a household with small children. An active family setting would be ideal for this boy. He loves his walks and likes most other dogs. Please call 519-372-1911 for an appointment to meet this guy.
Largely volunteer-based, the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter (GBAS) receives no financial assistance from any level of government and is 100% funded by adoption fees, private donations and fundraising events. The shelter is located at 457437 Concession Rd 8 S, Municipality of Meaford.
Although COVID-19 protocols have been relaxed, the GBAS is continuing to arrange animal visits by appointment. It allows volunteers/staff to spend enough time with prospective adopters as well as people surrendering animals. Face masks are optional.

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
