March came in like a lamb but went out like a bunny!

BY SOUTHGREY.CA STAFF — Several Easter Egg Hunts took place along the bunny trail this past Saturday, March 30. Mother Nature fluffed up the day with dry sunny skies. Hundreds of kids took part and we were 'all ears' to hear about it!

In Durham, the annual West Grey Durham Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt went off without a 'hutch' as hundreds of kids collected chocolate eggs left by the notorious sugar-loving rodent at Spruce Ridge Community School. West Grey Firefighters and Police Service members also attended.

The celebrated cottontail was also seen in Grey Highlands, where the Rotary Club Of Markdale conducted their annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Chapman's Ice Cream Soccer Fields beside the Firehall in Markdale, complete with free coffee and hot chocolate.

In Neustadt, kids enjoyed games, got up-close-and-personal with West Grey Police, Fire and Ambulance trucks, participated in a scavenger hunt and oh, yes, searched for candy Easter Eggs too. Popcorn, a fun Easter photo frame, a guess-the-number-of-treats game, gift bags and Lions Chocolate Bunnies were also on hand — all organized by the Neustadt and District Lions Club.
