Grey Bruce OPP are hosting a Police Academy

The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is offering a six-week Police Academy beginning in March 2025. This program is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in policing and those looking to learn more about law enforcement. It provides a firsthand experience of the various duties and responsibilities of a police officer.

  • Program Duration: March 26, 2025 - April 30, 2025 (Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm)
  • Location: Grey Bruce OPP Detachment, Chatsworth 317057 Highway 6 and 10

  • General patrol duties
  • Criminal investigations
  • Canine services
  • Emergency response
  • Forensic identification
  • Collision reconstruction
  • Impaired driving investigations
  • And more

Eligibility: Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years-old and/or are in Grade 10, there is no maximum age.

Application Deadline: February 28, 2025.

  • Applications are available at either the Chatsworth or Wiarton OPP detachment or via email at krista.linthorne@opp.ca.
  • Submit your application in person or by email along with valid photo identification or a student card.
