Flesherton Fling presents 14th annual festival this Saturday with food, music, crafts and fun for all ages

Flesherton Fling August 12

BY SOUTHGREY.CA STAFF — The 12th annual Flesherton Fling festival happens this Saturday, August 12. It's another fully-packed summer day of food, live music, dance, crafts and more. It all takes place throughout the town, starting at 9 am and continuing until late afternoon. Here are just some of the highlights:

Flesherton and District Farmers' Market celebrate International Youth Day with a kids' scavenger hunt to win summer toys 9 am - 1 pm at the Flesherton Arena pavilion.

Drum Jam with David Turner and friends at Grey Highlands (formerly South Grey) Museum Park 12:30 pm.

Kid's parade through town: Create a parade costume starting at 10:30 am or arrive in costume. Parade starts at 11ish.

Pickleball 12 pm - 4 pm. Youth games at Memorial Park. Demonstrations & an opportunity to try it out. Equipment provided and/or for sale. No experience required. Wear running shoes.

Celebrity Pickle Ball with Grey Highlands Councillors at Memorial Park 1 pm.

Ryan Mueller of RM Catering will be serving up some delicious food at Memorial Park 12 pm - 4 pm.

Dr. Ben Chan 3 pm. Roots soulful folk blues music at Grey Highlands (formerly South Grey) Museum Park.

Craft workshop with Melanie Earle of Sourceworks Ceramics 12 pm - 3 pm at Memorial Park. Experiment with block printing using stamps & lino stamping. Make your own bookmarks or notecards.

Gypsy Starfish folk music 3:30 pm at Grey Highlands (formerly South Grey) Museum Park.

The Ferals roots country music 2:15 pm at Grey Highlands (formerly South Grey) Museum Park.

Zoë Barrett-Wood comedy act 2:45 pm at Grey Highlands (formerly South Grey) Museum Park.
