On December 8, 2024 at approximately 3:00 pm, the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Grey Bruce Paramedic Services, the Flesherton Fire Department, and Air Ornge responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 10, between Road 180 and Road 190, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
As a result of the collision a 53-year-old from Toronto was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another driver was airlifted to a trauma centre. Two passengers were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and two other drivers were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing. Members of the West Region OPP Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) Team and Reconstruction are assisting Grey Bruce OPP with the investigation.
The area of Highway 10 between Road 180 and 190 remains closed for the protection of emergency responders and to facilitate the investigation, and will likely be closed for a number of hours.
