BY SOUTHGREY.CA STAFF — Southgate Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Councillors and staff came out to officially unveil the new Dundalk water tower on Thursday, October 5. The event included a ribbon cutting, tour, and lunch served by Spanky’s Food Truck.
The raising of the water tower bowl happened much earlier in the year. Dubbed 'rising to the occasion,' the initial event marked the hoisting of the tank and took place in May. Work continued throughout the summer to get the water tower operational.
The tower will support new developments in town. Many remarked that it was a historic day for the community.
