The Dundalk and District Lions Club are proud to support this year’s Grey Highlands Gran Fondo cycling event which is raising funds for the new hospital in Markdale. The club signed on as Gold Sponsors. This year’s event will be raising funds for 3 sets of digital imaging monitors. Full details of the event can be found at www.greyhighlandsgranfondo.com

It makes us very proud to be able to support an event raising funds for the new hospital, said Ken Podniewicz, President of the Dundalk Lions Club. “It is important that our volunteer efforts go to support the entire community and supporting our local hospital does exactly that”.

“The Dundalk and District Lions Club does so much many great things for our community. Supporting the hospital is one more example of the difference volunteering can make” stated Melinda Croft, Chair of the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation.

Darlene Lamberti, Executive Director of Centre Grey Health Services Foundation stated, “A strong community hospital is only possible with strong community support and we are really grateful for the support we receive from the Dundalk and District Lions Club. Our community members will certainly benefit from the generosity they continue to show to the new Markdale Hospital”

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.

South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.

Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
