The CSWBP Crime Prevention Action Table, Community Drug and Alcohol Strategy and various partners invite community members to informative town halls featuring policing, health and social experts who will provide critical insights into drug trafficking, substance use, addictions and harm reduction strategies in our communities.
The sessions will offer a comprehensive look at drug trafficking, including what it is, warning signs, how investigations are conducted, and emerging trends. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from health professionals about substance use, harm reduction approaches, and the range of addictions services to support individuals and families.
By bringing together experts from law enforcement, health and social services, this workshop aims to enhance awareness, foster collaboration, and strengthen community responses to the challenges associated with drug trafficking and substance use.
The events are open to the public and welcome all who are interested in learning more about these important issues and the resources available in our region. No registration required.

What is the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan (CSWBP) Grey-Bruce?
Community Safety and Well Being Planning helps organizations improve the things that keep us healthy, happy, and safe. Together, we use research to create solutions focused on education, health care, food, housing, income, crime, and belonging. It is important that we create a welcoming community where problems are solved before they happen and where different professionals and community members come together to help people now and in the future.
The ongoing work of CSWBP is supported by an advisory committee representing over 78 partners from across Bruce and Grey who are working together to address crime prevention by investing in social development, prevention, and risk interventions. This upstream preventative model focuses on creating protective factors that make individuals less vulnerable to crime and victimization.
At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
