Bluewater District School Board looks for input on budget planning for 2021-2022

Bluewater District School Board building

Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB) is inviting members of the public to participate in an online survey as part of the annual budget planning process. Students, parents/guardians, staff, and other stakeholders are encouraged to provide their feedback through a short series of questions that will help the Board of Trustees to identify priorities for the efficient, effective, and equitable use of board resources in 2021-2022.

The survey is open until Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. on the board website at www.bwdsb.on.ca or at the following link:

Interested participants who require another survey format are asked to please contact Bluewater District School Board at 519-363-2014, ext. 2108 or budget_consultation@bwdsb.on.ca.

Members of the public may also present their ideas for the 2021-2022 budget at the Business Committee of the Whole Board meeting on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Depending on the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 restrictions at that time, presentations may be made in person, virtually, or by written submission.  Further details on making a presentation may be obtained by contacting BWDSB at the phone number or email outlined above. Those who would like to present, must confirm and provide their presentation by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021.

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.

South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.

Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
