Brightshores Health System implementing targeted clinical masking

As the fall respiratory virus season begins, Brightshores Health Sytstem is taking a proactive approach to protect patients, staff and physicians. They have implemented targeted clinical masking for staff and physicians working in direct patient contact effective Tuesday, October 15, 2024. This will apply to all inpatient and outpatient settings.

What This Means for Patients

Brightshores strongly recommends that patients and visitors wear masks throughout their buildings. Masks are available at each location for those who wish to wear one.

Brightshores operates six hospitals in the Grey Bruce region. The Regional Hospital in Owen Sound is the largest of their sites, and offers a full range of specialty services, including complex surgeries, total joint replacements, cancer surgeries, MRI and CT diagnostic services. Their rural hospitals in Lion’s Head, Markdale, Meaford, Southampton and Wiarton offer a wide range of primary and ambulatory care services and all have 24/7 Emergency departments, lab and x-ray.
