Be the solution this hunting season, don't leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle

The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking hunters to NOT leave firearms in their unattended vehicles for extended periods of time.

Here are some tips to prevent you from becoming a victim:

• Always lock your vehicle doors and make sure your windows are rolled up when leaving your vehicle parked, even if you are only going to be a few minutes.
• Never leave valuable objects, wallets, purses or packages in full view. Remove them or lock them in the trunk.
• Clean out your garage and park your vehicle in it - locking your vehicle and the garage door.
• If your vehicle is equipped with a security system, remember to activate it.
• Do not leave your vehicle keys hidden in or around your vehicle.
