SPONSORED CONTENT — Meet Bella. She's as sweet as can be and only wants to be with her people. She's a 7-year-old Beagle-Pug cross. Bella is spayed and will be up-to-date on vaccinations. She is good with dogs and likes everyone she meets. Bella is probably best with older children since she is an older girl. She does have some separation anxiety, so she would do best in a home where people are around most of the time. As her barking can be loud, no apartments will be considered. If you are looking for a willing companion with a nice mix of cuddles and playfulness, this is your girl. Please call the shelter at 519-372-1911 to make an appointment to meet Bella.
During the COVID-19 crisis, people are working at the shelter to care for the animals but they are limiting the numbers of volunteers and restricting general public visits. GBAS serves the residents of both Grey and Bruce Counties who can no longer care for their own pet cats and dogs. The shelter minimizes the time that surrendered pets spend at the shelter by consistently matching animals with suitable new homes.
Largely volunteer-based, the shelter receives no financial assistance from any level of government and is 100% funded by adoption fees, private donations and fundraising events. The shelter is located at 457437 Concession Rd 8 S, Municipality of Meaford.

At South Grey News, we endeavour to bring you truthful and factual, up-to-date local community news in a quick and easy-to-digest format that’s free of political bias. We believe this service is more important today than ever before, as social media has given rise to misinformation, largely unchecked by big corporations who put profits ahead of their responsibilities.
South Grey News does not have the resources of a big corporation. We are a small, locally owned-and-operated organization. Research, analysis and physical attendance at public meetings and community events requires considerable effort. But contributions from readers and advertisers, however big or small, go a long way to helping us deliver positive, open and honest journalism for this community.
Please consider supporting South Grey News with a donation in lieu of a subscription fee and let us know that our efforts are appreciated. Thank you.
