The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board (BGCDSB) is reaching out to the community for feedback on the upcoming 2022-2023 budget.
In a February 28, 2022 media release, the Board of Trustees and the Senior Administration Team of the BGCDSB say they feel very strongly about listening to their stakeholders when making important decisions and creating processes. This includes their staff, students, and community members.
The 2022-2023 budget theme is: Learn, Lead, Live the Word. According to the BGCDSB, this theme is driven by their desire to meet the needs of each and every student through opportunities that engage, inspire and nurture their Catholic values. "In the words of Sister Clare Fitzgerald, 'When we graduate a student we don’t ask ‘what did you learn’ but ‘what did you become’?'
As BGCDSB embarks upon the 2022-2023 budget preparations, they are asking for input, feedback and comments.
“Our annual budget is an important process as we set the stage for the upcoming school year. COVID-19 has challenged all of us over the last two years and it has impacted the education system in countless ways. It continues to be important that we listen to our communities and embrace feedback on the programming and services needed to support our students and staff.” said Alecia Lantz, Superintendent of Business & Treasurer. “I would like to encourage our Catholic school communities to take this opportunity to provide valuable input and feedback to assist us in creating this year’s budget.”
The results of this survey will be utilized by the board’s Audit Committee, the Board of Trustees and Senior Administration throughout the budget preparation and planning process and will be presented as part of the budget presentation at the June, 2022 board meeting.
Those interested in providing feedback can do so through ThoughtExchange, a confidential interactive tool where your thoughts will be shared while keeping your identity secret.
The opportunity to provide feedback will be open to Thursday March 31, 2022.
