Grey Highlands Home & Garden Show returns this Spring

2022 Grey Highlands Home & Garden Show

BY SOUTHGREY.CA STAFF — The Grey Highlands Home & Garden Show is back. After a two-year hiatus, the Spring event that held such promise through its inception, will return to the Flesherton and District Community Centre and Arena Complex on the weekend of April 30 - May 1.

Previously hosted by the Municipality of Grey Highlands, organization of the show is now in the hands of the Grey Highlands Chamber of Commerce. "We’re excited to host this event and look forward to welcoming the public, whether it’s as a vendor or as an attendee," said Chamber Administrator Michelle Patey.

A popular event in 2019, the show was not feasible during the pandemic. In fact, the 2020 Home Show was only cancelled just one month prior to its scheduled date, as the seriousness of the COVID-19 situation set in. But like many other previously cancelled annual events over the past two years, the recent lifting of gathering restrictions and other COVID-19 mitigation measures has opened up the possibility to hold such occasions again.

"We’ve got a lot planned, including seminars, door prizes, a passport program, and fun for kids," said Patey, who indicated that the show's vendors, speakers and programs were still not finalized but would be announced soon.

Held over two days, the show will make use of the arena and Kinplex facilities as well as the parking lot and grounds. Food will be served and many displays are promised.

"Flesherton will be the place to be that weekend," said Patey, who added, "Won’t it be nice to get out again?"

Vendor applications are still being accepted. If interested, contact info@greyhighlandschamber.com
